Under the instruction of Ms Lucy Yamashita, the Japanese Cultural Association of Manitoba’s Aurora Dance Group performs Japanese classical, semi-classical and folk dance. Ms Yamashita has led the the group since its inception in 1998.
Over the years, the group has performed at JCAM events and for manyother cultural activities in Winnipeg and surrounding communities. As well, the Aurora Dance Group has participated on stage at the Folklorama Japanese Pavilion for 21 years.
